Hastings College is breaking up the standard 16-week semester where students juggle five classes and focus just on what’s due instead of learning more deeply and drawing connections between classes.
Hastings College is dividing the traditional semester into a modified block schedule where students take one or two classes over shorter periods of time. The college says it will promote deeper learning in each class and allow faculty and students to connect and develop mentoring relationships.
