Children's Nebraska names Dr. Ryan M. Cameron executive vice president, chief information and innovation officer
Children's Nebraska has elevated Ryan M. Cameron, Ed.D., CHCIO, CDH-E, to executive vice president and chief information and innovation officer. Cameron will lead the organization's enterprise digital strategy, technology operations and services, cybersecurity, innovation and data and analytics capabilities.
Cameron has more than 25 years of experience driving digital transformation and innovation in healthcare, higher education and technology organizations. He previously served as Children's vice president of technology and innovation, leading enterprise digital strategy, AI and IT governance and initiatives that improved clinical care, operational efficiency and patient experience.

Cameron's work at Children's includes establishing the Mammel Innovation Center, developing new partnerships, expanding the 3D program, designing and rolling out virtual reality and digital therapeutics in behavioral health and wellness and launching "Hey Medicaid," an agentic AI platform designed to automate Medicaid eligibility.
Before joining Children's, Cameron held senior technology and innovation leadership roles at Ivy.ai and Creighton University. He has authored two books, "A.I. - 101" and "Onward, Upward. Sometimes Sideways.: Empathy-Driven School Leadership in the 4th Industrial Revolution." Cameron earned a doctorate in education from the American College of Education and a master's degree in information systems from the University of Phoenix.
